- Title
Movement in Moving Pictures: An interview with Gilbert Warrenton, ASC.
- Abstract
Gilbert Warrenton (1894-1980) was a Hollywood cinematographer best known for his work at Universal in the 1920s. His mother, Lule Warrenton, was an actor and director for that studio during the teens, and Gilbert began working in the camera department there by 1913. After World War I he worked on feature films in New York for William Randolph Hearst and Paramount, then returned to Universal in the mid-1920s, where he photographed many of the films starring, or directed by, Universal's most valuable imported talent.
