- Abstract
The article reports on the discovery of the Eleventh Dynasty limestone chapel built by Egyptian King Nebhepetra Mentuhotep II close to the Sety I temple in the city of Abydos in May 2014. The discovery follows after robbers had been digging under a house looking for treasures when it collapsed revealing a small wall bearing inscriptions. Photographs of various elements inside the chapel including limestone sarcophagus and broken statue pedestal made of alabaster, are also presented.
