- Title
More about Temple Works in Leeds -- and a question of possible mistaken identity.
- Authors
Patridge, Bob
- Abstract
The author focuses on the collapsed and re-development of Temple Works in Great Britain and its misidentification with Temple of Horus at Edfu. He mentions the Grade One Listed building which is a possible example for large-scale architecture in the Egyptian style in the country and it was designed by Joseph Bonomi the Younger, an Egyptologist and architect, for John Marshall. He states that the site is now re-developed and it is a three year project which will preserve their architectural heritage. He comments on the description which is a possible mistaken identity for the Temple Mill as being based on the Horus Temple, wherein he refers to the form of the columns of Horus which are palmiform while the Mill are all of the lobed composite type.
