- Authors
Reader, Colin
- Abstract
The author describes his visit on the ancient quarries and his trip into the Eastern Desert of Egypt where he discovers an enigmatic rock art and a spectacular rocky canvas on which animals, dancing figures and strange ships have been carved from the earliest periods of Egyptian history in Egypt. He mentions that the Eastern Desert landscape is a vast tract of land between the Red Sea and the River Nile and their origins may be traced way back forty million years in time. He describes the two rock art of the Desert, which include the landscape of the Precambrian rocks and the Nubian Sandstone lanscape, which came from two distinct geological periods. He states that Talc is not a valuable feature of the mineral wealth of the Desert.
