- Abstract
This article reports the first occurrence of powdery mildew caused by Erysiphe quercicola on Murraya paniculata plants in India. The disease was observed at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, with symptoms including white circular to irregular patches on the leaves, petioles, stems, and branches. Microscopic analysis confirmed the presence of E. quercicola, and pathogenicity was demonstrated through inoculation experiments. This finding is significant as there were no previous records of E. quercicola on M. paniculata in India. The research was supported by the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education.
