- Title
Descriptions of Life As a Male Nurse.
- Abstract
The article discusses the life and work life experiences of male nurses in U.S. hospitals. John Thompson revealed his testimony, through the interview of Lewis Weeks, that he could not get commissioned as nurse when he went to the Navy because they wanted female nurses. He expressed his insights about the Buffalo General Hospital in New York, N.Y. in which he pointed out that the orderly system was unscientific, incompetent, and the personnel were irresponsible in attending the needs of the patients.
