- Authors
HENRY, C. JOHN
- Abstract
This note has developed from a poster shown at the William Smith conference organised by the History of Geology Group (HOGG) of the Geological Society of London, in London on 23-24 April 2015, to celebrate the bicentenary of William Smith's iconic map, A Delineal ion of the Strata of England and Wales with part of Scotland. The note describes the neighbourhood of Smith's home at 15 Buckingham Street including the addresses of nearby trades, professions and institutions which likely influenced his choice to settle at that location.
