- Title
Protecting Generation Z: A Brief Policy Argument Advocating Vicarious Liability for Internet Service Providers.
- Authors
MATERNA, MARK G.
- Abstract
The article points out the demerits of current system of Internet Service Providers' (ISPs) liability in the U.S. concerning hosting of content that deals with child pornography and offers a vision to make the internet safer for future generation. It states that the Communications Decency Act protects ISPs from negligence claims related to the failure of protecting children from sexual predators. It argues that vicarious liability is more efficient to monitor the content hosted by the ISPs.
