- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the science that supports an autism diagnosis, and then analyze the particular clinical traits of autism spectrum disorder that most affect the criminal justice procedure and outcome at trial in the U.S. Topics include effective utilization of voir dire in juror selection that incorporates consideration of juror attitudes on mental disability; the effect of therapeutic jurisprudence on the overall process; and efforts to maintain dignity of autistics.
