- Title
Getting to Yes-Means-Yes: Re-thinking Responses to Rape and Rape Culture on College Campuses.
- Authors
Gourley, Eleanor Christie
- Abstract
The article discusses the author's claim that a complementary system of transitional justice and Truth and Reconciliation Commissions (TRCs) might help change the cultural mentality of rape and sexual assault on American college campuses, and it mentions California’s Affirmative Consent Law (ACL) which is also known as the Yes Means Yes law. Title IX of the U.S. Education Amendments of 1972 is examined, along with the legal rights of rape and sexual assault victims.
