The article reports the decision of the U.S. Seventh Circuit court in the case 'Lagen v. United Continental Holdings Inc.' The court held that the 1978 Airline Deregulation Act (ADA) preempts common law claims for breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing arising from complaints about frequent-flyer rewards programs.
