This news section offers Cancer readers timely information on events, public policy analysis, topical issues, and personalities. In this issue, we profi le James Armitage, MD, and his extensive contributions to lymphoma treatment and research. We also report on a study that suggests that medical costs for several common types of cancer are higher for patients younger than 65 years, as well as new research that examines racial differences in adherence to hormone therapy for breast cancer.
