Examines surgical outcome of solitary colorectal metastasis to the hepatic caudate lobe. Difficulty of hepatic resection for malignant tumors of the caudate lobe; Analysis of clinicopathological characteristics and risk factors for tumor recurrence; Lower incidence of tumor-free margins in patients with metastasis in the caudate lobe than in patients with metastasis at other hepatic sites; Function of caudate lobe metastasis as an independent predictor of recurrence in the remnant liver.
