- Abstract
The article presents a study that describes the blood parameters and gill histology of wild bullseye puffer fish infected by an adult parasitic copepod Pseudochondracanthus diceraus. The study used histopathological and haematological analysis to describe the pathology caused by adult females of the copepod Pseudochondracanthus diceraus on the gills of Sphoeroides annulatus. It revealed 100 percent prevalence and a mean intensity of 7.16 copepods per fish and lower percentage of leukocytes in fish with the highest intensity of infection.
