- Abstract
The article assesses the accuracy of linking ambulance, emergency department and hospital admissions data in Queensland. In particular, it reports on the accuracy of manual and deterministic linking of three health information systems. These systems are the Queensland Ambulance Service Electronic Ambulance Report Form (eARF), the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) and the Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS). Results show a high sensitivity and slightly lower specificity in the deterministic linking of data.
