- Abstract
The article focuses on the medicinal value of carnivorous plants. The butterwort has been used as folk medicine in Scandinavia. where farmers have applied its leaves on open wounds of cattle. In Norway. Pinguicula vulgaris is used to treat ringworms and remove lice. Extracts of the Venus flytrap have been marketed as Dionaea Tonic, believed to contain a proteolytic enzyme that dissolves abnormally growing tissue.
