- Abstract
The article discusses methodology for teaching elementary school students about the ability to construct and critique a scientific argument, noting the connection with concepts from U.S. standards for science including scientific and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. It comments on the use of concept maps and visualization, as well as addresses the benefits of whole-class discussions.
