The article examines the use of case study teaching to improve the science literacy of students. Case studies are described by the author as a student-centered teaching method that can develop a student's content knowledge, science process skills, and research skills. Information is also provided on an example case study focusing on kudzu vines that was used in a fifth grade classroom.
