Title
Grades K-2: Whoo Goes There?
Abstract
The article presents a student activity, in which students of grades K-2 are taught what owls eat. In the activity, the students are made to read the book "Whoo Goes There?," and are told that owls swallow the animals they eat whole and then spit out the fur, feathers, and bones of those animals in a pellet. Students are told that mice eat seeds, and the owl can get food by eating the mouse. Students are told that all food chains include light from the Sun and begin with plants.
