- Abstract
The article provides information on plant research plots, a science activity teachers can use with students from fifth and sixth-grades. It notes that the activity covers a period of six weeks wherein students monitor the growth of the plant in one-meter plots as they apply science-process skills while learning about plant life cycles as well as how plants compete with the other plants. The author discusses the plot preparations with preassessment questions, the marking and observing the plots, and the illustration of the plant growth recording sheet.
