- Abstract
The aim of this article is to share research lessons learnt from the experiences of researchers in the urgent and emergency care network in the Amazon, Brazil. We propose to think about the concept of research as a crossing of boundaries to talk about interculturality, the uniqueness of territories, as well as the tense dialogue between the rationality of science and health practices and thinking. This article is structured into three core sections: presentation of the category “fluid territory”, followed by an epistemological discussion of the method and presentation of the resources used in the study to propose an “emergent and insurgent” episteme. We outline decolonizing lines of thought based on the understanding that the function of research is to describe and produce visibility as existence and not just as a representation of what is current.
