- Title
Noise exemption change is sought.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the noise exemption change sought by Raleigh County Sheriff Steve Tanner in West Virginia to the commission. He is asking for the noise ordinance change in response to complaints by Ghent residents that a local club blasts loud music. The ordinance in the county bans loud music which disrupts neighbors, but exempts church worship services and church bells. Tanner likes to change ordinance exception to protect only church worship services which are of reasonable duration.
