- Title
Cooperative Shingle Mills in Western Washington.
- Abstract
The article presents a study that deals with the problems of the cooperative shingle industry in western Washington as of 1924. The state's shingle industry has been an important branch of the lumber industry and its production has been larger than that of any other state since 1899. However, there have been seasonal fluctuations in demand for shingles caused by the partial or complete discontinuance of building operations during the winter. There have also been reports about problems regarding the custom shipping of shingle products.
