The article presents research on the effects of cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1R)-selective agonists on feeding sated animals. The study attributes the effects to a selective increase in the release of beta-endorphin. It points out the increase of mitochondrial uncoupling protein 2 hypothalamic levels following CB1R agonists.
