- Abstract
Recently, the trend of upsizing is more obvious on LNG project. Comparing with traditional oil field project which mostly focuses on up-stream, LNG project pours major investment on complex LNG plant construction down-stream which is the key facility for gas liquefaction and the start-up of entire project. In order to well understand the role of scheduling work within the large LNG project construction, Yamal LNG project is set as a good example to do the study. In this project, with the help of schedule management technology, the whole complex project was broken-down into several small pieces and became a simple one. The PDCA (plan-do-eheckvaetion) regular closed-loop management and progress information platform & software also play an important role in monitoring and controlling construction progress and final start-up. Basically, schedule management technology is very vital to construction duration control in larger oil and gas project.
