The article focuses on the contemporary examinations on prophetic passages which aim to bring reflection to the readers. Such discussions include the material-cultural study of peasantry, archaeology and iconography, and sociology of official and popular religion. It presents Judah's social studies which are under the Assyrian domination which show the refinement of labour coercion mechanism under the authority of Hezekiah and Manasseh. It says that religion sociologists have determined the reciprocality between popular and official religion. It concludes that the divine title of Boshet, as it occurred in Hebrew chant, could be denounced by the goddess and royal administration.
