- Abstract
To achieve continuous water intake operations under low temperature conditions, the traditional vapor-compressed atmospheric water harvesting system is improved, and a desiccant wheels-assisted atmospheric water harvesting system is constructed and compared with the traditional system. The results show that under the designed low temperature conditions, the traditional evaporative compressed atmospheric water harvesting system cannot obtain condensed water due to frosting, while the desiccant wheels-assisted atmospheric water harvesting system can achieve continuous water intake operations. Water production rate of the proposed system is 3.076 2 g/h and the system energy consumption is 6.9 kW·h.
