- Abstract
This article discusses the development of weather-based statistical models for predicting the severity of Rhizoctonia aerial blight disease in soybean crops in the Tarai region of Uttarakhand. The study aims to understand the relationship between disease severity and weather variables in order to improve soybean production. The researchers conducted a field trial and collected data on weather parameters and disease progression. Multiple regression equations were developed to predict the disease index, and the results showed that weather variables such as temperature, humidity, rainfall, and sunshine hours played a significant role in disease prevalence. The findings contribute valuable insights into disease management strategies for soybean cultivation.
