- Abstract
Aside the concept of Tourism reminding to visit new places, to explore, travel, entertain and rest, there is also sad side of it as dark tourism that expects to be remembered with respect and sadness. In the case of dark tourism; Tourists affected by events such as grief, fear and death visit territories, cemeteries and monuments to fulfill their curiosity and to express their respect to their ancestors who lost lives in a war or bad events. Tourism activities established on these feelings and thoughts also have an impact on the residents. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the dark tourism on the residents of Gallipoli Historical Site area which is one of the destinations that dark tourism is lived intensively in Turkey and to classify the local people by cluster analysis.
