- Abstract
Crosstalk and power penalty analysis for optical code-switched static wavelength routing wavelength-division multiplexing nodes of a generalized multiprotocol label switched (GMPLS) network is presented. The performance of the system is analyzed for coherent crosstalk, end-to-end bit error rate, and the code length. We introduce a new approach to estimate the blocking probability in crosstalk-impaired GMPLS networks. Packet error rate is estimated for an increasing traffic condition. A well-known Erlangs traffic model is used to examine the performance of the system.
