- Title
Cyathostominosis in a horse from Saskatchewan.
- Authors
Wobeser, Gary; Tataryn, Audrey
- Abstract
The article presents a case study involving a 15-month-old horse with consistent cyathostominosis in Saskatchewan. The horse' pathologic findings showed that fixed portions of its large intestine were about 1 centimeter in thickness as a result of severe submucosal edema and roughened nodular mucosal surface. It was found that increased risk of clinical disease caused by cyathostominosis has been linked with the horse aged of more than 6 years, occurrence in winter and anthelmintic treatment.
