- Abstract
The article informs about the new notification by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which allows S corporation shareholders to deduct health insurance premiums. It is informed that the employees who pay for their own health insurance can deduct the premiums as medical expenses, if they itemize their deductions. The Internal Revenue Code (IRC) specifies that deduction for medical insurance paid by a self-employed person applies to sole proprietors, partners, and individuals.
