- Abstract
A five-year-old girl presented with multiple facial atrophic scars, along with small vesicular and crusted lesions on her face, scalp, and fingers. She also had a weak cry and a hoarse voice since birth. The diagnosis was lipoid proteinosis, confirmed by genetic testing. Lipoid proteinosis is a rare genetic disorder that affects multiple systems in the body, including the skin, mucous membranes, and internal organs. Treatment options for lipoid proteinosis are limited, and a multidisciplinary approach is necessary to manage the various symptoms.
