- Abstract
The article focuses on the report entitled "Exploring Bring Your Own Device in the Public Sector," which is regarding the research by GovLoop and Cisco Systems Inc. on how to effectively implement a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiative in the public sector. The report includes case studies from the City of Minneapolis App Store, the Equal Employment opportunity Commission (EECO), and the White House BYOD Toolkit. It states that 79% of survey respondents said that BYOD cold positively affect employee satisfaction, participation and productivity. It discusses best practices involved in BYOD policy including the creation of transparent security processes, regulating user application, and providing device support guidelines.
