- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the potential of Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) and other grassland conservation on biofuel production, plant species and ethanol yield in the U.S. The study the Whittaker plot technique to identify the composition and diversity of plant species. It shows that grassland conservation with many plant species had lesser biomass and ethanol yields and the C4 prairie grass abundance has negative correlation with the number of plant species.
