- Abstract
The article presents a study on avian communities which highlights its response to the changing landscape in Oklahoma southern Great Plains grasslands which are analyzed using aerial photography, rank trend analysis and the data gathered from the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS). Grassland species are found to be consistently declining due to the influx of woody vegetation and changes in landscapes while species such as open-habitat generalists, woodland and successional scrub have increased.
