- Authors
Munro, Jill; Abbott, Marilyn L.; Rossiter, Marian J.
- Abstract
The article describes how English-language learners (ELL) can be fairly assessed by their teachers. ELL students with limited English language skills are usually encouraged by their teachers to take the provincial assessment tests to gauge their abilities. It also suggests numerous accommodated assessment strategies that teachers can use, including simplified language structures in questions, graphic organizers, and reader or auditory support measures.
