- Authors
Mehl-Madrona, Lewis
- Abstract
The author reflects on the article by Richard Livingston on the sweat lodge ceremony headed by James Ray in Sedona, Arizona in which a purported ceremony killed three people. He notes that this article will make clear on what the Native American spiritual leaders have been telling about Ray's ceremony in Sedona. The author believes that sweat lodge ceremony intends for the benefit of the people and never for their detriment, thus medical discussions regarding sacred ceremony should be initiated.
