- Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 90% of the world population suffers from stress, a problem present in the daily lives of university students and, among them, nursing students. In this sense, the objective of the research was to analyze the factors associated with stress management in nursing students at a public university. This is a cross-sectional study, carried out with undergraduate nursing students from a public university; data collection was carried out through the application of instruments with sociodemographic and behavioral data and the measuring scale, based on the health promotion model by Nola Pender. The results showed that there was an association between the variables: gender, current semester, year of admission, hours at university and physical exercise practice with stress management. Thus, it is evident that universities must develop actions to help control stress among nursing students.
