- Abstract
The article describes two cases of lupus erythematosus profundus with solitary hard induration extending over a wide area of the back. The patients were two Japanese women, aged 22 and 59 years old, with a history of a subcutaneous induration in the left lumbar region. Both cases showed fibrin thrombosis of the subcutaneous vessels and positive test results for anti-phospholipid antibody. The clinical course of the patients are detailed.
