- Abstract
The article presents the case of a 53-year-old forensic inpatient with a history of schizophrenia to illustrate how psychotic symptoms can mask signs of trauma resulting to a failure of treating trauma in psychotherapy. Topics covered include the measures comprising the patient's rehabilitation program including grief counseling and imagery rescripting, and the effectiveness of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in reducing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
