- Abstract
The article discusses the history of the Arkansas Research and Test Station, a historic satellite ground station located in the hills of Montgomery County in Arkansas. Topics discussed include the importance of its parabolic antenna or dish which collected satellite signals for radio and television transmissions, the history of its formation under the Space Systems Division of the Hughes Aircraft Co. in 1965, and the purpose of its establishment such as a test and demonstration facility.
