- Abstract
The article focuses on the implications of William Faulkner's novel "Pylon" concerning the author's narrative orthodoxy. Factors that make "Pylon" the most modernist text written by Faulkner; The similarities and differences between the protagonist of "Pylon," the reporter and T. S. Eliot's protagonist, J. Alfred Prufrock are analyzed. Details are given for the history behind the inception of "Pylon" and the difference of this novel from the other works by Faulkner.
