- Abstract
The article comments on the case of Yong Ho Chen and his wife Wei Kai Li concerning the disparities in granting asylum. It discusses the background of the U.S. immigration law that gives the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) the authority to regulate immigration. It discusses the lengthy process of the asylum seeker in order to understand the legal hurdles each asylum seeker must face.
