- Abstract
Hydatidosis is a zoonosis, which most frequently affects the liver and lung in man, with conventional surgical treatment being the most used currently. The objective of the clinical case is to describe the technique and advantages of laparoscopic treatment in hepatic hydatidosis. A 34-year-old female patient is presented. It is due to dyspepsia and abdominal pain of 7 months of evolution, of increasing intensity, postprandial. At the abdominal physical examination, he presented pain in the right hypochondrium. Ultrasound and CT were requested, where they revealed a cystic image, with a net border, in the right hepatic lobe, segment VII. Followed by immunostaining. After the diagnosis, albendazole treatment was indicated 45 days before and after the surgery of unroofing and marzupialization with previous intracystic treatment. Discharge was indicated at 24 hours, with subsequent control by an external office. It is concluded that laparoscopic treatment is safe and feasible for selected cases.
