The article highlights Goswin of Bossut, a cantor and monk at the Cistercian abbey of Villers, wrote three hagiographies in which he used the trope of wonder in strikingly different ways; Of Abundus, a monk of Villers, Goswin writes that Abundus himself "disclos[ed] to me many things great and wonderful, things Mother Grace had enriched him with, things I shall bring to light in the pages that follow.
