- Abstract
[Objective]To provide references for mass-production of selenium-rich peanut, the effects of foliar sprayat different periods and different selenium fertilizers on selenium accumulation ability in peanut were studied under field condition. [Method]Red-coat peanut was used as the experimental material. Four foliage spraying treatments(sprayed once in pegging period, sprayed once in full-fruiting period, sprayed twice in pegging period and pod-setting period, sprayed three times) and five selenium fertilizer treatments were tested. The selenium content of peanut kernel and yield of peanut were measured after maturity. [Result] The selenium content and accumulation in peanut kernel were significantly(P <0. 05) increased with foliar spraying of selenium fertilizer at different growth periods, but showed both yield-increasing and yield-reducing effects on peanut yield. The selenium contents in peanut kernel were 0. 137-0. 245 mg/kg with foliar spraying of selenium fertilizer at different growth periods which were 2. 70-5. 62 times of CK. The order of increasing selenium content was:sprayed twice>sprayed once in full-fruiting period> sprayed once in pegging period> sprayed three times> CK. Foliar spraying of five different seleniumcontaining fertilizers significantly(P <0. 05) increased the selenium content and accumulation in peanut kernel, but the yield of peanut was not significant. The utilization rate of the five selenium fertilizers were 0. 14%-3. 81 % in peanut grains. [Conclusion] The ability of selenium accumulation in peanut was increased with foliar spraying of selenium fertilizer. Among them, foliar spraying twice selenium fertilizer in full-fruiting period and pegging period has the best effect. Foliar spraying of five different selenium-containing fertilizers have low utilization rates of selenium in peanut.
