- Abstract
The article presents a study which developed a structural pushover model to examine the nonlinear soil-structure behaviors of a deployable and compliant geo-structural systems that are bio-inspired by awns, particularly their deformations and stress values. The systems were fabricated using additive manufacturing. Also developed are a geoplasticity numerical models of soil awn interaction and a finite element model of an example application.
