- Abstract
The article discusses the Texas Supreme Court's ruling in the 2015 In re Lipsky case which deals with a defamation per se (DPS) legal doctrine and environmental law, and it mentions how the court dismissed Range Resources Corporation's (Range's) business disparagement claim against homeowner Steven Lipsky and upheld a trial court's finding of DPS. Gross negligence and nuisance claims are assessed in relation to Range's hydraulic fracturing practices and gas wells underneath Lipsky's home.
