- Title
Remove Morrison v. Olson.
- Authors
Calabresi, Steven G.; Yoo, Christopher S.
- Abstract
The article discusses a court case of Morrison v. Olson wherein Morrison was said to be a sharp departure of Supreme Court precedents on removal power for more than 50 years. The Supreme Court implied that a statutory limitation on the removal power of the U.S. President Barack Obama violates the constitution if it interferes with his ability to supervise the execution of federal law. It also states that sustained historical practices can be considered as a gloss on executive power.
